It doesn’t make me feel any better about myself and it does’t help the situation. Getting a job will make me feel like the more productive part of society that is respected and celebrated. I just want to be that person who cares about his looks and is always hanging out with friends again. Friends is what I rarely have nowadays since I changed my life around. Well, it is time to step back into the game and get trained for the grand finale! I cannot wait to get another job. I know that it will totally make a difference in how I feel everyday, and it is going to give me something to look forward to. I just hope that someone gives me another chance so that I can improve myself.

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011After attending an Auto Technician School, my friend’s daughter was quickly hired by a custom shop in our area. It was quite unusual for a girl to be in this field. She is very close to her dad who loves cars. I remember her playing with tools in their garage while her dad works on their car. An only child, she spent more time hanging out with her Dad. They never failed to go to the SEMA show or to any car show in our area. She soon fell in love with cars too. Soon she was helping her Dad fixing up their cars. She asked for a Civic when she was in high school. She slowly modified it and drag raced on weekends. She hangs out with other car enthusiasts at a popular diner in our neighborhood. She even helps us with our car. It’s nice to know she has realized her dream. All she wanted was to be a good mechanic. That’s what she is now.

My Little Hometown
Sunday, June 26th, 2011You don’t always see housekeeping jobs in our little hometown. Except for affluent families, people would opt to do their own cleaning. Well, ours is just a one-horse town where people know each and everybody’s name. And it’s not common in our place to hire housekeepers because we are accustomed to hard work.
When there are occasions, we’d come to our neighbors to help prepare dishes. It’s hard not to miss my town. I flew miles across to get a job and get settled. The place I live now is far from the town I grew up in. The place is exudes a feeling of animosity. Our town on the other hand evokes the feeling of familiarity.
In my new place, people are always regarded as strangers. We barely even know our neighbors. All forms of convenience are in my new city but you can only find the peaceful life in my old town.
