Real Estate Investing – Should You Call Real Estate Agent Ads?

One skill you’ll need to learn as a new investor is how to locate distressed sellers wanting to sell their properties at a substantial discount. One method involves searching through local real estate classified ads online or in the local newspaper. Beware of classified ads placed by real estate agents. You can recognize these ads by the real estate license number within the ad. Many real estate agents place teaser ads to lure you into calling about a particular home or neighborhood. When you call, they try to coax you into their office so they can show you other homes for sale.

If you see an ad for a home in one of your desired neighborhoods, try contacting the agent for a different purpose-let this agent know what kind of homes you’re searching for. Try contacting the representing agent on any advertised fixer properties in neighborhoods you’re searching for. Let these Realtors know what type of fixer uppers you’re looking for and that you can close quickly if the sales price is acceptable. Try contacting no less than 30 real estate offices in your first month as an investor. This will give you a good head start on your investment business.

If you’re trying to purchase real estate in Orange County, you can contact a Villa Park Realtor to search through Villa Park homes for sale.
